After graduating from The School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, Ms. Yerman was involved in the "jewelry as art" movement. Her works were featured in New York Magazine,Vogue, Harper's Bazaar,and Women's Wear Daily.

Angela Taylor of The New York Times devoted a story to her on the fashion page titled "Sculptured Jewelry by a Self-Confessed Scavenger." Her collage bracelets were sold in Bergdorf Goodman and Henri Bendel. They are currently available by special order.
